The simulated emergency department is a complex of rooms that includes a simulated emergency room, a training and debriefing room, and a separate room for simulation instructors. The layout of this department closely replicates real hospital conditions.

The emergency simulation room contains several patient beds with manikins, appropriate medical equipment, and a nurses’ station with the necessary instruments and materials. A wide range of skills that medical staff may encounter can be practised at the following stages:

  • Patient admission
  • Patient handover from the Emergency Medical Service (NMPD)
  • Patient preparation for transfer

Specialised rooms make it possible to simulate complex emergency scenarios, including multiple traumas and cases where several patients need to be admitted simultaneously. The simulation room features SIMStation system cameras that provide audio and video transmission to the debriefing room.
