Skill development: Hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment

Sign up for independent development of skills in hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment (see below). Students who have already acquired these skills during their studies, or will acquire them during the current academic year, are eligible to apply.

  • Nursing Studies – from the 1st year of studies
  • Midwifery – from the 3rd year of studies
  • Medicine – from the 3rd year of studies

Individually

The topic “Hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment” includes the following skills:

  • Hygienic hand disinfection
  • Hygienic hand washing
  • Taking off personal protective equipment for healthcare-associated infections
  • Putting on personal protective equipment for healthcare-associated infections
  • Surgical hand disinfection
  • Putting on a sterile set
  • Putting on sterile gloves
  • Putting on and taking off disposable gloves
