About Us
The Rīga Stradiņš University Medical Education Technology Centre (RSU METC) was established in 2013, introducing a simulation-based approach to medical and healthcare education for the first time in Latvia. |
Mission | The mission of the RSU METC is to lead the implementation of simulation-based medical education (SBME) and to develop and deliver high-quality educational activities in medicine and healthcare, aiming to improve healthcare quality in Latvia and ensure the safety of both patients and medical professionals. |
Vision | The vision of the RSU METC is to serve as a modern centre for research and innovation, recognised nationally and at the European level for excellence in simulation-based medical education. |
Goal | The goal of the RSU METC is to improve the quality of education in the medical and healthcare fields by integrating innovative, simulation-based learning methods and tools into the study process to enhance healthcare quality and ensure the safety of both patients and medical professionals. |
