Skill development: Digestive system procedures

Sign up for independent improvement of skills in various digestive system procedures (see below). Students who have already acquired these skills during their studies, or will acquire them during the current academic year, are eligible to apply.

  • Midwifery – from the 3rd year of studies
  • Medicine – from the 3rd year of studies

Individually

The topic “Digestive system procedures” includes the following skills:

  • Taking care of a bowel stoma and changing a pouch
  • Inserting and removing the nasogastric tube
  • Feeding the patient through a nasogastric tube using the bolus method
  • Feeding the patient through a nasogastric tube, continuous method
  • Enteral feeding via a PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy)
